Gordon Beach Inn Artist Residency
Gordon Beach is proud to announce its non-studio artist residency program. In consideration of the number of writers, illustrators, and digital artists applying to the Lakeside Inn Arist Residency, in combination with feedback from past artists in residence, we are launching a residency program that is specifically developed for the non-studio based artists..
This residency program includes access to Gordon Beach rooms, specifically outfitted with a desk and designated workspace. Affording solitude, a designated work area, and furnishings, we aim to support our community of poets, writers, digital artists, academics, and students.
Residencies are available for custom durations at a discounted rate of $250 for seven nights ($495-$650 value) from November 1-April 30.
Similar to the Lakeside Inn Artist Residency program, Gordon Beach residents are invited to ongoing collaborative opportunities such as Art Inn, Sunday family meals at Lakeside Inn, and more.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

- We encourage all artists submitting to have a car of their own for travel. The area itself does not have readily-available public transportation, but we do have bicycles available during the nicer months of the year that may be used. There is an Amtrak train that runs from Union Station to New Buffalo, but a cab is necessary to take you from New Buffalo to Gordon Beach Inn.
- The Gordon Beach Inn Residency is currently heavily discounted for the selected artists as we finalize our program. It does not offer a stipend for the artist, but includes a picturesque place for an artist to live and work for the duration of their residency. THE RESIDENCY STAY IS FOR ARTISTS ONLY.
